Iran Condemns Pan-Turkists Supporting Azerbaijan
Iran has condemned the pan-Turkists who supported Azerbaijan during the war in Artsakh.
On January 14, Azerbaijani activists were arrested in Iran for actions supporting Azerbaijan during the war unleashed against Artsakh. The activists were apprehended during a protest outside the Azerbaijani consulate in Tabriz. Yasmin Zofouri, Hakime Ahmadin, Sadulla Sasanin, Rahim Sasanin, and Mehdi Puralin have been sentenced to one year in prison and punished with 60 lashes.
According to the Azerbaijani newspaper 'Azadliq', the Ardebil criminal court sentenced 'national activists' Meyzhem Cholani and Ali Sheyery to four years in prison and 20 lashes for the protests that took place in September and October.
