Exercise Extreme Caution When Posting Children’s Photos on Social Media: Armenian Ombudsman
When publishing photos of children, especially young children, on Facebook and other social media platforms, I urge you to exercise extreme caution. This was stated by the Ombudsman of the Republic of Armenia, Arman Tatoyan.
“It should be noted that by taking this step, you lose the expectation of privacy regarding your child's photo. It can become the property of anyone, at any moment. This makes the child vulnerable and primarily puts you as parents in a fragile position. You can never assume who may use your child's photo and for what purpose. Unfortunately, social media, and particularly Facebook, are flooded with insults, hatred, and other illegal phenomena,” wrote Arman Tatoyan.
