Defense Minister and Belarusian Ambassador Discuss Security Issues
On January 14, Armenian Defense Minister Vagharshak Harutyunyan received the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Belarus to the Republic of Armenia, Alexander Konyuk. This was reported by the Ministry of Defense of Armenia.
The meeting was also attended by Vyacheslav Lisukhan, the advisor of the Belarusian embassy in Armenia, and Colonel Yevgeny Artemenko, the military attaché.
The Armenian Defense Minister congratulated the ambassador on assuming his mission in Armenia and wished him further success. During the meeting, opinions were exchanged on international and regional security issues. The discussions covered aspects of Armenian-Belarusian cooperation in the defense sector, paths for further development of cooperation, and planned events within the framework of multilateral formats.
The Armenian Defense Minister expressed confidence that due to the active and effective work of the newly appointed ambassador, the Armenian-Belarusian interstate relations and political dialogue will be further strengthened and receive a new quality.
