Bulldozer Operator Killed by Mine Explosion in Areas of Artsakh under Azerbaijani Control

A 41-year-old Azerbaijani citizen, Aliyar Ojacverdiyev, was killed when a mine exploded during road construction work in the areas of Artsakh that are under Azerbaijani control. This has been reported by the General Prosecutor's Office of Azerbaijan.

It is noted that the man was inside the bulldozer conducting the road construction work at the time of the incident. He died from the severe injuries he sustained.

A criminal case has been initiated, and an investigation is underway.

Earlier reports indicated that in Kubatlu, an explosion resulted in the death of an Azerbaijani Armed Forces officer, the commander of a company, Major Mukhtarov Sarkhan Ilgar oglu.

It is worth mentioning that on January 1, another Azerbaijani was injured by a mine explosion in the Fizuli region, resulting in the amputation of both of his legs. Furthermore, in the Agdam region handed over to Azerbaijan on December 14, 2020, it was reported that one person had died and two others were injured due to a mine explosion.
