Timing Devices Found on Homemade Bombs Near the Capitol
Two homemade explosive devices discovered near the U.S. Capitol on January 6, during the riots in Washington, were equipped with timers and detonators.
The Federal Bureau of Investigations and other authorities are actively searching for the individuals who placed these devices. This was reported by acting U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia, Michael Sherwin, according to TASS.
The explosive devices have been deactivated. Law enforcement is trying to determine why they were not detonated.
According to Sherwin, those responsible for the most serious crimes committed during the riots could face up to 20 years in prison.
