Roads Closed in Armenia: Stepantsminda-Lars Route Impassable

The Ministry of Emergency Situations informs that there are closed roads in the territory of Armenia. The roads leading to Amberd Fortress and Kari Lake in Aragatsotn Province are closed.

Regarding Lars, according to information from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia's Emergency Management Department and the North Ossetia Crisis Management Center of the Russian Emergency Situations Ministry, the Stepantsminda-Lars road is closed for all types of vehicles due to avalanche danger. Additionally, there is a backlog of 100 freight trucks on the Russian side.

According to information from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, the ban on the entry of foreigners into Georgia remains in effect. This restriction does not apply to freight transportation. Drivers are advised to travel exclusively on winter tires.
