100 Trucks Accumulated on the Russian Side of Lars

The Ministry of Emergency Situations of Armenia reports that, according to information received from the Emergency Management Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and the Crisis Management Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia's North Ossetia, the Stepantsminda-Lars highway is closed for all types of vehicles due to the danger of avalanches. Additionally, there are 100 trucks accumulated on the Russian side.

According to information from the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the ban on foreign nationals entering Georgia remains in effect. The restriction does not apply to freight transport.

Drivers are advised to travel exclusively on winter tires.
