Father of Missing Soldier Arrested for Crashing into Defense Ministry Gates

The father of a missing soldier who crashed his car into the gates of the Defense Ministry has been arrested. He faces a prison sentence of 5 to 10 years. The family’s child is currently missing, while the father is in jail.

“On October 5, his name was included in the list of victims. We went to the Defense Ministry, and they said, ‘We have been given a name, we wrote it down, but we haven’t seen with our own eyes that he has died.’ I am saying I will repair the gates, but what will you do? Why has he reached this state? Right now the issue is whether the glass is broken or the child is missing,” Hrant Vardanyan, the uncle of the missing soldier, told Aysor.am.
