A Grieving Parent is Arrested; Those Who Led Them to This Situation Should Also be Judged, Says Arsen Ghukasian
Search teams looking for surviving soldiers have been sent back from near the Red Market. This was stated by Arsen Ghukasian during a Facebook live broadcast. Ghukasian's nephew is considered missing, while his brother's body was found in December 2020.
Ghukasian reported that today search and rescue operations were to take place in the areas of Hadrut, Jabrail, Fizuli, and Talish. Two teams were dispatched, but they were sent back from the Red Market, citing fog as the reason, while the search for bodies continued.
Ghukasian also addressed a recent incident that occurred near the Ministry of Defense building, specifically mentioning that one of the parents of a missing soldier drove toward the gates of the Ministry, breaking the gates. Following this incident, a criminal case was initiated, and the soldier's father was arrested. Ghukasian urged law enforcement, stating that the reason for the father’s actions was the authorities and military personnel who pushed him to such a state.
“If you are detaining someone, that’s fine, but those who caused the parent to reach this situation should be judged just as well. Why don’t you catch them and put them on trial? We've been struggling for two months now for at least one person to be detained for 72 hours. Or was it just a grieving parent, so upset that they resorted to this action?” Ghukasian noted, adding that these are still the “flowers” and worse could happen.
“You are the ones to blame for all of this; people have not been going beyond your doors for three months,” Ghukasian stated, emphasizing that there is nothing worse than a parent who has lost a child or a loved one.
