Another Modular Settlement Built for Peacekeepers in Berdashen Village of Artsakh

Russian military logistics specialists have constructed another modular settlement for Russian peacekeepers in the village of Karakend (Berdashen) in Nagorno-Karabakh. The Russian Ministry of Defense’s press service reports that the settlement, designed to provide comfortable living conditions, has already accommodated 60 residents. This information was relayed to Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation, Army General Dmitry Bulgakov.

Previously, specialists from the Russian Ministry of Defense’s logistics department built two block-modular settlements in Stepanakert and Getavan in a short time frame to ensure comfortable living conditions for peacekeeping personnel.

The block-modular settlements are fully autonomous facilities equipped with all necessary components for life support, including electricity supply, autonomous heating, sanitary facilities, water supply, and drainage. The residences are furnished with beds, wardrobes, kitchen utensils, tables, chairs, and showers. They are also equipped with household appliances such as electric stoves, refrigerators, washing machines, microwaves, televisions, air conditioners, and water heaters.

It is noted that each settlement area includes a gym, bathhouse, medical point, laundry room, clothing cleaning area, recreation room, office, property storage, cafeteria, and a grocery storage facility.
