In Syunik, Instructions Are Given to Act as Azerbaijani Soldiers Say After Calling Yerevan: H. Bagratyan
Former Armenian Prime Minister Hrant Bagratyan wrote on his Facebook page: “We spent the day in Syunik. We had meetings with citizens, military personnel, and community leaders. The number one issue was the problem of the Armenian and Azerbaijani borders. We checked on-site how these are determined. It turned out that the following simple scheme operates: a high-ranking Azerbaijani officer arrives at the given border post, takes out a Samsung phone, connects to Google GPS, and says, 'This is the border line.' When our side shows on their I-phone that this is not the case, the Azerbaijanis urge them to call Pashinyan. After calling Yerevan, our side receives instructions to act as the Azerbaijani military says.
By the way, in one of the border communities, children wanted to see Armen Sarkissian. They said it would be nice to have a wealthy Santa Claus. I told them that when I go to Yerevan, I will let him know. Unfortunately, at this moment, he is in hiding.
P.S. One of the purposes of our visit was the opening of the Freedom Party office. Soon, these offices will open in both Goris and Kapan.”
