You Can't Silence Us: Trump on Twitter's Permanent Suspension of His Account
The current President of the United States, Donald Trump, has stated that Twitter, the social media platform that suspended his account, will not silence him. This was reported by RT.
"You can't silence us," the statement from the White House quoted Trump as saying.
The corresponding announcement also appeared on Twitter's official account for the President of the United States but was promptly removed by the company. "I anticipated this would happen. We are negotiating with various other platforms and will have a major announcement soon. We are exploring the possibility of building our own platform in the near future," Trump wrote.
He also emphasized that "Twitter is increasingly moving towards blocking free speech." Earlier, Twitter permanently suspended Trump's account due to the "risk of further incitement of violence."
