Ara Abrahamyan Addresses Nikol Pashinyan: "What Else Are You Planning to Sign, What Oral Agreements Have You Reached?"
The President of the Union of Armenians in Russia, Ara Abrahamyan, has made a post on his Facebook page regarding Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's upcoming visit to Moscow.
According to Abrahamyan, the document that Pashinyan shared on social media contains "priority" points of his statements that are detrimental to Armenian statehood and our people, which will apparently serve as the basis for a new agreement.
Abrahamyan has also listed the issues that concern him: "Why and how are you going to Russia now? What else are you planning to sign, what oral agreements have you reached? Why are you so eager to hand everything over so quickly? What can you still do? To whom and for what are you so indebted that you are willing to endure all the humiliations and brazen attacks from Aliyev? Why can't you stop and halt the scenario that is leading to the destruction of Armenia—despite the calls from the people of Armenia and Artsakh, the president of our country, our spiritual leaders, Garegin II and Aram I, and the diaspora? Why, instead of suspending the implementation of all the other points of the declaration, do you suddenly tie our most important societal issue to the "selection of transport routes" that is vital for Azerbaijan and Turkey but secondary for Armenia before Azerbaijan fulfills its 8th point regarding the return of Armenian captives held in Baku? Is the issue of the status of Artsakh on your negotiation and agreement agenda?"
Abrahamyan expressed the opinion that Nikol Pashinyan can no longer represent Armenians and sign any documents on behalf of Armenia: "Since you have been acting outside the legal framework of the Republic of Armenia for two months now and have no connection to either the state or the people under the name you are still trying to hide behind—surrounded by a tight chain of armed bodyguards," Abrahamyan wrote, reminding that today the citizens of Armenia, the borders, and the residents of Syunik need protection and defense.
Abrahamyan concluded his post by addressing Nikol Pashinyan: "Mr. Pashinyan, if you do not have answers to these questions, then it is pointless to go to Moscow and irritate and humiliate the 3 million strong Armenian community in Russia by your presence here. The Armenian community in Russia is waiting for your resignation, not your arrival in Moscow."
