Prime Minister: The November 10 Declaration Does Not Mention a 'Corridor' for Meghri or Any Area of Armenia
In a recent post on Facebook, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan outlined their priorities for the implementation of the trilateral declaration from November 10.
“1. Full implementation of point 8 of the declaration. Accordingly, there must be a complete exchange of prisoners, hostages, and other detained persons, as well as the bodies of the deceased. It is also important for us to carry out extensive search and rescue operations in the area of the military actions.
2. Unblocking all economic and transport infrastructures in the region, which means both cargo transportation and transport communication from Armenia through Azerbaijani territory to Russia and the Islamic Republic of Iran, as well as cargo transportation and transport communication from Azerbaijan through Armenian territory to Nakhchivan.
I want to reiterate that the November 10 declaration does not include the term 'corridor' in relation to either Meghri or any area of Armenia. The choice of communication routes from Armenia to Russia and from Azerbaijan to Nakhchivan is a separate topic for discussion, where an important condition for its effectiveness is the scale and efficiency of the exchange of prisoners, hostages, and other detained persons, as well as the search operations for the missing,” Pashinyan wrote.
