Individuals Involved in Capitol Riot Are Being Fired

On January 6, individuals who participated in the riots at the U.S. Capitol are being fired from their jobs, according to CNN. It has been noted that photos and videos taken at the Capitol are widely circulating online, and several reports have already been received regarding the termination of employees involved in the unrest.

Specifically, the American marketing company Navistar announced that it had terminated an employee after seeing photos of him at the Capitol. "While we support the right of all employees to engage in peaceful, lawful exercise of free speech, any employee who demonstrates dangerous behavior and threatens the health and safety of others will no longer have the opportunity to work at Navistar Direct Marketing," the company stated.

In Texas, Goosehead Insurance also fired a lawyer named Paul Davis for participating in the demonstrations. CNN reports that similar incidents have been recorded in Maryland and Pennsylvania as well.

It is worth recalling that on January 6, Trump supporters stormed the Capitol, where Congress was convened to confirm Democrat Joe Biden's victory in the presidential election. Four people died during the protests, and dozens have been arrested. Following Congress's confirmation of Biden's victory, Trump promised to facilitate a peaceful transfer of power.
