Our Daily Work Must Be Focused on Ensuring Our Borders' Security and Strengthening Our Country: Hayk Chobanyan

The Governor of Tavush Province, Hayk Chobanyan, delivered a New Year's message:

“Dear residents of Tavush, we had a very challenging year, starting from the difficulties brought by the pandemic to the war in Artsakh. I bow before all our victims, their parents, and family members. I hope we will soon complete the efforts to locate the missing and return our captured soldiers to the homeland as soon as possible. We have significant work ahead in terms of rehabilitating the wounded and integrating them back into society. We must assist them in acquiring new professions and living full lives.

The war confronted us with the reality that, to win, we need to have much greater effort and knowledge. We need to multiply the pace of development that we have attempted to achieve in the previous years. This is the path and opportunity to victory.

The economy is the next crucial aspect and direction that should ensure our success. The success of our entrepreneur, worker, and businessman is primarily dependent on us.

We cannot succeed without quality education. Achieving quality education requires considerable effort. All participants—teachers, students, and parents—must be involved.

A Tavush resident also guards the border, whether as a soldier, from the militia, or simply as a person living along the border, thereby guaranteeing the security of our borders. Our daily work must be directed towards ensuring our borders’ security and strengthening our country. We cannot rely on peace; instead, we must trust our strength, our intellect, and our labor.
