From Now On, Childbirth One-Time Benefit to Be Granted Based on Parent's Application

The Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs of Armenia has announced that henceforth, the one-time childbirth benefit will be granted based on a parent's application, without requiring any additional documents to be attached. This project was recently approved by the Government.

According to the decision, no notarized additional documents will be necessary for the single mother's childbirth benefit. Exceptions apply in cases where the benefit is granted to a foreign citizen or when the birth certificate has been issued abroad.

Furthermore, during the period of martial law, the amount of the benefit that has been assigned but not paid to one parent can be disbursed to the other parent based on an application submitted to any territorial division of the Social Security Service.
