Video: A Leopard Spotted in the Forests of Syunik

Camera traps set up in the "Boghakar" state reserve of the Zangezur biosphere complex by the Ministry of Environment have captured footage of a Caucasian leopard. The video shows the leopard wandering and playing carefreely in the forests of Syunik.

It should be noted that these recording devices were installed as part of ongoing monitoring efforts conducted by the Armenian branch of the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) in areas protected by the Zangezur biosphere complex.

The Caucasian leopard is listed in the Red Book of Animals of the Republic of Armenia and is assessed as "critically endangered."
