Turkey Hopes for Swift Establishment of Russian-Turkish Joint Monitoring Center in Artsakh

Ankara hopes that the Russian-Turkish joint center for monitoring the ceasefire in Nagorno-Karabakh will be established as soon as possible. Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu stated this during a joint press conference with Russia's Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, as reported by TASS.

"We see that the ceasefire is in effect. We hope that the joint monitoring center will be established in the shortest possible time," said Cavusoglu.

It was previously reported that the Russian-Turkish monitoring center in Nagorno-Karabakh would begin operations in January. Negotiations on the technical details for establishing the Turkish-Russian joint monitoring center in the territory of Azerbaijan concluded on December 1, and an agreement was signed between Turkey and Russia.
