Put Aside Your Ambitions and Chair Wars, We Are Losing Our Homeland: Tigran Abrahamyan

The head of the "Henaket" analytical center, Tigran Abrahamyan, has expressed his concerns on his Facebook page: "For the last 1.5 months, political forces in Artsakh have been negotiating the formation of a government of national unity. However, today, the ARF and the Justice Party in the National Assembly announced the failure of this process, citing the political actions of the President of Artsakh as the reason.

Of course, I know the parties involved in the negotiations—the political forces and their leaders—very well. I remember each one of their behaviors during all key events in Artsakh, and I am confident about who has failed this process. However, at this moment, I have a different question.

The territorial integrity of Artsakh has been grossly violated, a huge part of our homeland is under the enemy's control, the war has not ended, and furthermore, Azerbaijan is threatening a new war. Security threats have increased, and regional stability has been disrupted... so what are you busy with?

Do you understand the consequences of all this? Do you understand what the crisis of unity and solidarity will lead to, especially at this stage?

Gentlemen, accept it however you want, but please wake up and think deeply about the consequences of your actions and inactions. Put aside your chair wars and ambitions; we are losing our homeland. In this difficult phase for Artsakh and Armenia, take responsibility—unite all capable forces of Artsakh—political and civil groups, and capable individuals—to confront the extremely complex challenges we face."
