Naira Zohrabyan Removed from Head of Parliament's Human Rights Committee
The National Assembly today terminated the powers of Naira Zohrabyan, a member of the Prosperous Armenia faction, as head of the Permanent Committee on Human Rights Protection and Public Affairs through a closed, secret ballot.
The chair of the counting commission, Vahagn Hovakimyan, presented the results of the vote, according to which 78 deputies voted for the cessation of Naira Zohrabyan's powers, 4 voted against, and 2 ballots were invalid.
