Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Visits Homeland Defender's Rehabilitation Center
Today, the Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of Armenia, Vahram Dumanyan, and Deputy Minister Narine Khachatryan visited the Homeland Defender's Rehabilitation Center to get acquainted with the building conditions of the center and to support the soldiers receiving treatment.
Yerevan State Medical University Rector Armen Muradyan and the center's director, Haikuhi Minasyan, presented the structure, the rooms where the soldiers' treatment processes take place, and the equipment that has been added to the center in recent years. They discussed upcoming activities and urgent issues that need resolution.
As A. Muradyan presented, the Serviceman's House is equipped with modern rehabilitation equipment and is a unique center in the region with its capabilities. In addition to rehabilitation services and medical assistance, individuals with military disabilities also receive psychological support, participate in training programs, and have their social integration and employment issues addressed.
Minister Vahram Dumanyan expressed gratitude to the staff of the center for their selfless work and for carrying out this important task in our times, stating that every soldier's life is invaluable to all of us.
The minister and the deputy minister also toured the wards, met, and conversed with the soldiers. "I still can’t walk, but every morning I make my bed, while many walk, but are too lazy to even make their bed. Who among us is the disabled?" humorously remarked one of the soldiers undergoing treatment, Henrikh.
It should also be noted that Deputy Minister Narine Khachatryan donated valuable books to the library of the Homeland Defender's Rehabilitation Center from the Hovhannes Tumanyan Museum, the Russian Art Museums, and the Martiros Saryan House-Museum.
