We Will Have to Defend Our Elected Representatives and Government Ourselves, Says MP Regarding Direct Messages

My Step Alliance MP Hayk Sargsyan addressed the leaders of law enforcement agencies from the parliamentary podium, urging them to quickly restore public order in Yerevan.

“This morning, a number of provocateurs, having personal interests, blocked the entrances to the National Assembly and provoked incidents as MPs were trying to enter. I urge you to quickly restore public order in Yerevan, otherwise this will lead to bad developments. Many citizens have been writing to me in these last moments, saying that if the police do not act, we will have to defend our elected representatives and our government ourselves,” announced Hayk Sargsyan.

It should be noted that citizens demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan are holding protests near the entrances to the National Assembly.
