As a member of the ruling party, you should have gone to Syunik to talk to the people when the road was blocked, to open it so that the Prime Minister could pass, said Edmon Marukyan, the leader of the Bright Armenia faction, addressing My Steppe MP Armen Khachatryan from the podium of the National Assembly.

“If you were unable to do that, now you invite us to Syunik... We can go to Syunik whenever we want, you cannot go to Syunik. The road has not been closed for us; it has been closed for you. Mr. Khachatryan, as an elected MP from Syunik, you should better resign your mandate to show your protest,” Marukyan added.

During Marukyan's speech, MP Armen Khachatryan was responding from his seat, and his colleagues removed him from the hall.
