Vitaly Balasyan: Artsakh Must Pursue Its Own Political Agenda
“The political course pursued by the Republic of Armenia, under the leadership of Nikol Pashinyan, is a flawed one. It is necessary for the Republic of Artsakh to conduct its own political agenda, of course in cooperation and coordination with the political and military ministries of the Republic of Armenia. Unfortunately, we have not been able to do this,” said Vitaly Balasyan, Secretary of the Security Council of Artsakh, in an interview with Artsakh Public Television, responding to the question of whether it was possible to avoid the war unleashed by Azerbaijan on September 27.
According to Balasyan, there was a problem with the subjectivity of Artsakh after the elections in 2020. “This means that the political and military authorities of Armenia should have done everything possible for the Republic of Artsakh to establish itself as a subject. This was one of the most important reasons,” stated the Secretary of the Security Council of Artsakh.
