Red Lines to Be Removed in 10 Administrative Districts of Yerevan Starting Next Year
The National Assembly discussed a proposed amendment to the law on "Parking Fees for Motor Vehicles," introduced by several members of the "My Step" faction. Co-author Sisak Gabrielyan stated that starting next year, red lines will be removed in 10 administrative districts of Yerevan, and the municipality will no longer be able to fine citizens based solely on one or two photographs.
"Red lines will only remain in the Center and Arabkir administrative districts. Additionally, citizens will only be fined in the presence of a video confirming the fact of parking for 15 minutes. In other cases, the municipality will not have the opportunity to impose fines," the deputy emphasized.
He also noted that the Yerevan municipality has already installed an electronic system that will automatically track violations of red lines.
