Foreign Minister Presents Steps Taken Regarding the Crisis in Nagorno-Karabakh to Lithuanian Counterpart
On December 28, Armenian Foreign Minister Ara Aivazyan had a phone conversation with Lithuanian Foreign Minister Gabrielius Landsbergis. Minister Aivazyan congratulated his Lithuanian counterpart on assuming the ministerial position. This was reported by the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
“The Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Lithuania expressed satisfaction with the dynamics observed in Armenian-Lithuanian relations, declaring their willingness to take practical steps towards further development of bilateral and multilateral cooperation. They discussed the Armenia-European Union partnership and the cooperation between Armenia and Lithuania within this framework, including democratic reforms in Armenia, the rule of law, and the protection of human rights,” the statement said.
The Armenian Foreign Minister presented to his counterpart the actions taken to address the humanitarian crisis in Nagorno-Karabakh resulting from the war unleashed by Azerbaijan with the involvement of Turkey and foreign armed terrorists. In this context, Minister Aivazyan emphasized the importance of involving relevant international organizations on the ground.
