Azniv Baghdasaryan, Held in Baku, Returns to Armenia
Azniv Baghdasaryan, who was held captive in Baku and gained notoriety from a controversial video, has returned to his homeland. In a conversation with Sputnik Armenia, Baghdasaryan informed that he was handed over to Armenia in December along with three other captives.
“I’ve been home for a few days now,” he said. Baghdasaryan is trying to adapt to a peaceful life and is interacting with his neighbors. His Pushtik cat is also helping him with the adaptation process.
Baghdasaryan's presence in Baku came to light in October following a press conference he attended. It is worth mentioning that Artsakh's Ombudsman Artak Beglaryan had previously announced that three exchanges of captives took place at the beginning of December. On December 14, 44 captives were handed over to Armenia, followed by two smaller groups later on.
