Video: 65 Members of Armenian Police Killed in Artsakh War, 6 Remain Missing
In the war unleashed by Azerbaijan against Artsakh on September 27, 65 members of the Armenian Police have lost their lives, and 6 are considered missing. This was reported by the Armenian Police.
“On September 27, Azerbaijani-Turkish forces and mercenary terrorists launched large-scale military operations against the Republic of Artsakh. The nation stood up as an army to protect its homeland. And as in the First Artsakh War and the April battles, the police officer became a soldier this time as well.
From the first days of the war, about 3,000 police officers were dispatched to the front lines in shifts. They participated in the defensive battles in Karvachar, Haterk, Jrakan, and Berdzor.
The police forces suffered significant losses, especially in the area adjacent to the Shushi-Lisagor road, where heavy fighting took place. Throughout the war, 38 members of the police forces were immortalized, and about forty were wounded.
Let us honor all our fallen heroes who sacrificed their lives for the defense of the homeland, remember their names one by one, and continue their unfinished work.
Among those who fell were:
Lieutenant Colonel Artak Zarmikyan,
Private First Class Harutyun Asryan,
Private First Class Arthur Aghajanyan, and many others.
3200 more officers from various divisions, including central apparatus, special operations, patrol service battalion, and regional subdivisions, participated in the sacred mission of defending the homeland. Out of these, 27 were immortalized and 124 police officers were wounded.
We should recognize and remember them by name, including Major Tatul Otharyan and others.
Unfortunately, to date, 6 police officers are still considered missing:
Colonel Armen Vardanyan,
Deputy Colonel Arman Hakobyan, and others.
May the memory of all fallen comrades be eternal!
