Tatev-Aghvani-Kapan Road and Goris-Kapan Section Impassable, Approximately 60 Trucks Stuck

The Ministry of Emergency Situations reports that there are closed and impassable roads within the territory of Armenia. The Vardenyats Pass is closed for cargo trucks with trailers.

The roads leading to Amberd Fortress and Kari Lake in the Aragatsotn region are also closed.

The Goris-Kapan section of the Yerevan-Megri highway is impassable, with around 60 trucks accumulating there, as well as the Tatev-Aghvani-Kapan road.

In the Gegharkunik, Lori, Syunik, Aragatsotn, Kotayk regions, as well as in the Ashotik region of Shirak and the city of Artik, there are areas with black ice on the roads.

Regarding Lars, according to information from the Emergency Situations Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and the Crisis Management Center of the Russian Federation's Ministry of Emergency Situations in North Ossetia, the Stepantsminda-Lars road is open for all types of vehicles.

According to information received from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, the decision to prohibit foreigners from entering Georgia remains in effect. However, the ban does not apply to freight transport.

Drivers are advised to travel exclusively with winter tires.
