Police Solve Murder of 33-Year-Old Woman
On December 25 at 21:00, the Vagharshapat Police Department was informed by a hospital that the body of a 33-year-old woman from Ejmiadzin had been transported to them with injuries resembling gunshot wounds to the left side and abrasions on the forehead. This was reported by the Public Relations and Information Department of the Armenian Police.
According to the police, the woman's body was taken to the hospital in a Nissan vehicle, which has since been moved to a secured area of the Vagharshapat Police Department. A criminal case has been initiated on charges of murder. A forensic examination has been scheduled.
Officers from the Police's General Department of Criminal Investigation, the Armavir Regional Department, Vagharshapat Police, and the Vagharshapat Investigative Department conducted a series of operational and investigative measures. As a result of skilled work by law enforcement, it was determined that the murder was committed by a 34-year-old man who had transported the woman’s body to the hospital.
On December 26 at 01:00, he was found at the intersection of Kostiian and Kamoy streets in Ejmiadzin and was taken into custody by the Vagharshapat Police on suspicion of committing the murder. The man has been arrested. Circumstances are still under investigation, and a preliminary inquiry is underway.
