First Case of New COVID-19 Strain Detected in Lebanon
The Lebanese Minister of Health, Hamad Hassan, has announced the detection of the first case of a new strain of COVID-19 in Lebanon. This was reported by Arab News.
Hassan stated that the infected individual returned to Beirut from London on December 21. He urged passengers on the same flight and their families to exercise caution and isolate at home for 10 days. He emphasized that the ministry is closely monitoring this case and those who have come into contact with the individual.
The infected person is a Lebanese citizen residing in Tripoli. He mentioned that he has self-isolated at home with his mother.
