Security Ensured in Armenian-Controlled Villages of Shushi
Security is ensured in three villages of the Shushi region under Armenian control. Russian peacekeepers are located next to the school. This was stated in a conversation with Sputnik Armenia by Vyacheslav Gabrielian, the deputy head of the Shushi administration.
"There are all conditions for living, security is ensured. People can calmly travel along the road between Hin Shen and Yeghdzahogh. This means that at this stage, security is guaranteed," he said.
Near the village, there are Azerbaijani positions, but security in the village is being maintained not only by Russian servicemen but also by Armenian soldiers.
The head of the Yeghdzahogh community, Artak Hakobyan, stated that the village is guarded by Armenian units. Earlier, the Azerbaijanis attempted to seize control of the village, but the Armenian side met with the Russians and proved to the peacekeepers that Yeghdzahogh must remain in the hands of Armenians.
