President Sarkissian Meets with Soldiers from Shirak Region Who Participated in Artsakh War

President of Armenia Armen Sarkissian is in Gyumri. His first stop was the Shirak Diocese. The meeting with the Shirak Diocese bishop was closed to the media.

Following that, at the Shirak Diocese's socio-educational center, the President met with contract, conscript, and volunteer soldiers from the Shirak region who participated in the Artsakh war.

“Your life is ahead of you; there is no final defeat. It’s difficult, but you must fight. I have come to tell you that you are not defeated, but rather victorious. Pay attention to your families, then find your place in life. I am a person who has seen victory; after 26 years, I have seen all this and I don’t know if I will be able to see victory again, but you will certainly see it,” President Sarkissian said, as reported by Armenpress.

Many soldiers participating in the meeting had sustained injuries during combat operations.
