The Author of the Opposition's Leading Song Revealed: Who Performs It?

The author of the song "My Artsakh, My Land and Water, My Armenia," which has become the soundtrack for the Homeland Salvation Movement's marches, is the well-known producer Ruben Mkrtchyan from Gyumri. He stated that he did not write the song at anyone's request or commission, but rather for himself and people like him, expressing his thoughts and beliefs that he deeply holds.

"I believe the song has been well received also because there are many people in Armenia today who share similar thoughts and beliefs. The song was written very quickly, and I uploaded it online. Later, the movement reached out to me, saying they wanted to play the song during marches and rallies. I didn't mind, which is why I made it available publicly. I have no copyright claims over this song," Mkrtchyan explained.

He is the author of the lyrics and music, with the recording and arrangement done by Hayk Gasparyan. The performers include Ruben Mkrtchyan himself, Sofi Mkheyan, and Vahe Begoyan.
