VIDEO: We lost our country, should I think about my house? Azerbaijani forces destroy Ruben Harutyunyan's house in Shushi

Videos have emerged online showing how Azerbaijani forces are destroying Ruben Harutyunyan's villa in Shushi. In an interview with LURER.com, former President of the Football Federation of Armenia Ruben Harutyunyan stated that we have lost something far more important than just a house: "We have lost our country, should I be thinking about my house? To hell with that... We have lost something much more important; our country is gone, and 5,000 of our children have died, the fate of over 10,000 children has been shattered. Let’s think about that; what house? Let ten such houses be destroyed, I’m even ready to lose my house in Yerevan, just so those children and our country can come back. I have made many investments not only in Shushi but in other places as well, but I do not care about anything, there are more important issues at hand," he noted.

He mentioned that his concern isn’t the loss of his house, but rather the people left homeless: "There are people whose only property has been their house and today they have nothing, they are left out in the open. I built that house in Shushi because I love Artsakh very much; otherwise, I wouldn’t have needed a house. I feel sorry for those people who have no roof over their heads today," Harutyunyan said.

According to him, the blame for losing Shushi and, in general, Artsakh lies with the Prime Minister of Armenia: "We didn’t just lose Shushi; it was treacherously sold because we have a country’s unfortunate, colorless leader in the face of the incompetent Nikol Pashinyan," he stated, adding that he has consistently demanded Pashinyan’s resignation and does not believe a public statement on this issue is necessary.
