Mayor Delayed to City Council Meeting, Hrachya Sargsyan Presides

Today, the Mayor of Yerevan, Hayk Marutyan, was delayed for the regular session of the city council. This was announced at the start of the meeting by the First Deputy Mayor, Hrachya Sargsyan.

“The Mayor of Yerevan is running a little late; I will conduct the meeting until he arrives, after which the Mayor will continue the proceedings,” said Sargsyan.

It is reported that the city council meeting is taking place with 22 items on the agenda. Among the topics are the appointment of Gayane Melkom Melkomyan as Deputy Mayor, setting local taxes and fees for 2021, and other matters. The meeting is being presided over by Deputy Mayor Hrachya Sargsyan, who indicated that Mayor Hayk Marutyan is delayed and will join the meeting later.
