Arson Attack on Director's Car of Dilijan Sports School

On December 20, an extraordinary incident occurred in Tavush Province. Around 11:00 PM, the 911 operational management center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations received a call reporting that a car was burning in the yard of one of the houses on Atarbekyan Street in Dilijan, as reported by shamshyan.com.

The fire and rescue squad of the Dilijan branch of the Ministry of Emergency Situations arrived at the scene and extinguished the fire in a Toyota Camry vehicle with license plate 10 OC 100.

Police have determined that the vehicle belongs to 43-year-old Garik Baghdasaryan, a resident of the mentioned street. He informed law enforcement that he has suspicions that the fire was caused by arson. Mr. Baghdasaryan also stated that he serves as the director of the Dilijan sports school.

Materials are being prepared by the investigative division of the Dilijan Police Department regarding the incident.
