The Russian Army Cannot concede to Other Countries' Armies, Says Putin

“We all know that we must account for the fact that the world's armies are spending enormous, incomparable resources to ensure their superiority over us. We cannot concede to them in anything,” said the President of Russia during a meeting of the Ministry of Defense Collegium, according to TASS.

He recalled a popular saying that “the worst thing is to lag behind and have to ask for help.” “If we are once again forced to catch up, there will be no need to ask,” Putin emphasized.

Putin highlighted that the main task of the Ministry of Defense is to “ensure the security of the country.” “It is very important that the pace of change in the scientific and technological field is extremely high, and it is crucial not to miss anything, to carefully monitor everything regarding the opportunities for development. Yes, we talk about it, and I proudly repeat that we possess armaments that are not found anywhere else in the world, primarily referring to hypersonic weapons,” added the Russian leader.

In this context, Putin announced his intention to place 'Avangard' hypersonic systems in promising missile complexes.
