Nikol Pashinyan Cancels Visit to Goris, Kapan, and Meghri Cities

Nikol Pashinyan has canceled his previously planned visits to the cities of Goris, Kapan, and Meghri in Syunik today, December 21. He announced this in Sisian.

“We will not be drawn into provocations. Meghri, Kapan, and Goris are all in their place. Today we met with the people of Syunik, we paid our respects and commemorated the graves of Syunik soldiers, and we will continue this process,” Pashinyan said.

According to Pashinyan, the residents of Goris blocked the Yerevan-Goris road because they know he will be well received in those cities. “I am proposing a deal, let them open the road, and we will go see what the mood is in those cities. If they do not open it, that’s fine, we will go another time. I said that I am coming to look into the eyes of the people of Syunik, and I looked into their eyes. In many respects, I am guilty before you; you deserve much more than what, unfortunately, no government in Armenia, including ours, has been able to achieve and deliver to you,” he noted.
