Defense Ministry Completely Denies Information on Two Tavush Villages Passing to Azerbaijan
The Ministry of Defense of Armenia categorically denies the spread of rumors suggesting that orders have been given to withdraw units from two villages in the Tavush region, and that these villages are allegedly set to come under the control of Azerbaijan.
Gevorq Altunyan, the head of the Information and Public Relations Department of the Ministry of Defense, informed Armenpress about this in response to circulating media reports.
"The Ministry of Defense completely denies these reports, once again urging to refrain from disseminating unverified and false information," said Altunyan.
Earlier, certain media sources had circulated information claiming that the commander of the Armenian Armed Forces' 3rd Army Corps had been instructed to withdraw units from two villages in the Tavush region, which supposedly would fall under Azerbaijani control as a result of border delimitation.
