Nikol, the Azerbaijani flag is flying in the Vorotan section of M2, what face do you come to Syunik? - Mayor of Goris
Nikol, the Azerbaijani flag is flying in the Vorotan section of M2, the enemy has reached the village. This was stated by the Mayor of Goris, Arush Arushanyan, on his Facebook page.
“In an hour they will reach Shurnukh. This is the area where we, together with the Qarahunj and Vorotan detachments and the army, have been 26 kilometers ahead and have held blood-soaked territory to prevent the enemy from entering our families. Today, you have handed over the historically preserved land, which was defended with blood, to the enemy's mouth. The Azerbaijanis should stand just a few meters away from Vorotan; how should a Vorotantsi continue to live and create under such circumstances? Is this what you meant when you said the borders are safe? Tomorrow, do you want to reach Kapan via this ‘safe’ road and greet the enemy standing along the way? What face do you come to Syunik with? After all this, should you still convince the residents of Vorotan, Shurnukh, and Khndzoresk that their security is not hanging by a thread?”
“Every minute of your governance is a serious threat to our country. We are losing land every minute, leading our people to destruction. Don’t you dare think that by directing a fake farm towards Syunik, you will break the spirit of the Syunik people. Syunik will not tolerate either internal traitors or external enemies. Syunik is united always, and no one should doubt that the traitors and Turks that opened the gates of the region will be cleansed from this land,” he wrote.
It is noteworthy that today a video has been circulated from Vorotan, where Azerbaijani soldiers were seen patrolling. The Deputy Mayor of Goris, Menua Hovsepyan, confirmed in a conversation with Tert.am that the video is from today, and Azerbaijani soldiers are on the roads leading to the Vorotan village and Shurnukh.
