42,051 People Return to Artsakh, Russian Military Doctors Provide Assistance to 759 Residents
The Russian peacekeeping forces continue to carry out their tasks in the territory of Nagorno-Karabakh. The Russian peacekeepers are conducting round-the-clock monitoring of the situation at 23 observation posts and overseeing the maintenance of the ceasefire regime. The ceasefire is being maintained along the entire contact line.
According to the website of the Russian Ministry of Defense, the Russian peacekeeping contingent is ensuring the safe return of citizens to their permanent places of residence, providing humanitarian assistance, and restoring civilian infrastructure facilities. In one day, Russian peacekeepers ensured the safe return of 306 refugees from Armenia to Nagorno-Karabakh. Since November 14, a total of 42,051 people have returned to their former residences in Nagorno-Karabakh.
In the town of Martakert, with the support of Russian peacekeepers, a residential house has been restored, and a 1.6 km electricity line has been repaired by the repair brigade. Since the start of the work, 23 residential houses and 7.9 km of electricity lines have been restored.
The Russian peacekeeping force continues to search for and transfer the bodies of those killed during the hostilities in cooperation with representatives of the International Committee of the Red Cross and the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Nagorno-Karabakh. A hotline has been organized to collect information about the participants of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and those missing. Since the start of its operations, 521 requests have been received, which have been forwarded to the search teams of the Reconciliation Center.
The mobile medical brigade of the Russian military has provided outpatient-polyclinic assistance to 35 local residents, including one child, in the village of Chartar. In total, Russian military doctors have provided medical assistance to 759 residents of Nagorno-Karabakh, 85 of whom are children.
All operations of the Russian peacekeeping forces are being carried out in compliance with the measures to prevent the spread of the coronavirus infection. Continuous cooperation is maintained with the military staffs of Azerbaijan and Armenia to ensure the safety of Russian peacekeepers and to prevent possible incidents.
