We Want to Go to Shurnukh: LHK MPs are in Syunik

The MPs of the "Enlightened Armenia" faction are currently in Syunik, where residents have blocked the roads. They intend to go to Shurnukh. "We want to go to Shurnukh to see what is happening. We have come as opposition MPs to stand by you. Yesterday, we visited the Academy of Sciences and discussed with experts on maps from the Soviet era. There are options available now, but they need to be negotiated. I cannot negotiate, as I am not a government representative, not in the executive, not the Prime Minister, not the Minister of Foreign Affairs," said LHK MP Gevorg Gorgisyan, addressing the citizens at the roadblock.

However, the residents of Syunik did not allow the Enlightened Armenia MPs to proceed to Kapan. "If you are here to solve issues, the same problems exist here. Solve them in Goris, then move forward," said one of the residents.

It is worth noting that it was reported yesterday that all positions in the city of Kapan in the Syunik region will be surrendered to the enemy by 5:00 PM today. Later, the Ministry of Defense announced that Minister Vagharshak Harutyunyan met with the heads of several communities in Syunik region and stated that the border is being finalized in the presence of senior officers from both sides and that no meter of the territory of the Republic of Armenia will be conceded.
