We See Processes That Are Not Within the Framework of the Trilateral Agreement: Vahe Enfiadjian on Syunik
That the heights in Syunik are being given to the enemy and that a deadline until 5 PM was set is a consequence of lawlessness, as our citizens find themselves in a situation where they have to burn their years-constructed economy and homes and leave, not leaving anything for the enemy. This was stated by Vahe Enfiadjian, an MP from the Prosperous Armenia Party and Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly, during a conversation with journalists at the start of the opposition torchlight march today, December 18.
He noted that there is no clause in the trilateral statement that states those heights are to be transferred to Azerbaijan. “The statement clearly states that the parties stand where they stood on the day the ceasefire was signed, and those positions are fixed. At this moment, we see processes that are outside the framework of this agreement. Again, let's affirm that this is a result of lawlessness,” he said.
In response to the observation that the leader of the Prosperous Armenia Party, Gagik Tsarukyan, does not participate in public rallies, Enfiadjian said that this is not true. “Who says that Mr. Tsarukyan is not a participant in all of this? If you come tomorrow, you will see that Mr. Tsarukyan is standing next to us and will participate in our march tomorrow,” he added.
