Josep Borrell Unable to Hold Trilateral Meeting with Armenian and Azerbaijani Foreign Ministers

The head of the European Union, Josep Borrell, attempted to hold a trilateral meeting with the foreign ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan, but it was not possible to organize such a meeting.

As reported by the TASS news agency, the official made this statement upon arriving in Brussels for the EU-Armenia Partnership Council meeting on Thursday.

"Since both ministers (of Armenia and Azerbaijan) have been in contact with me, we tried to establish three-way communication in the format of the European Union, Armenia, and Azerbaijan. However, it was not possible, and for that reason, I will hold separate meetings with both ministers," he said.
