Traffic Accident Near Zodi Bridge: One Dead and Two Injured

On December 16, at 18:26, the regional crisis management center in Armavir received a report of a traffic accident near the Zodi Bridge in Ararat city. Emergency responders were dispatched to the scene from the regional rescue department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

It was found that a Volkswagen Touareg vehicle, driven by Emin T. (born in 1987), veered off the roadway at the 53rd kilometer of the Meghri-Yerevan highway and ended up in a ravine. Before rescuers arrived, one passenger was declared dead at the scene, while two other passengers and the driver were hospitalized at Ararat Medical Center, where doctors assessed their condition as serious.

The rescuers assisted the victims by bringing them to the ambulance and also deactivated and closed the gas cylinder valve of the Volkswagen Touareg vehicle.
