Residents Hosting Artsakh Citizens in Armenia to Receive Monthly Support of 30,000 Dram, 45,000 in Artsakh

The government approved a measure at its meeting today, December 17, aimed at providing financial support to those who have temporarily hosted adult citizens displaced due to military operations in Artsakh and have lost residential properties under the control of Artsakh due to destruction or other reasons.

The justification for the decision states, 'Many citizens of Armenia and Artsakh have hosted adult citizens displaced by military operations who are currently in Armenia or Artsakh. Due to the additional financial burden, host families are facing financial challenges, and it is necessary to provide them with appropriate social support for this purpose.'

To that end, it is proposed to provide three months of cash assistance to individuals temporarily hosting adult citizens who have lost their residential properties under the control of Artsakh communities due to destruction or other reasons. It is recommended to allocate 30,000 dram per hosted individual for families in the Republic of Armenia, and 45,000 dram for families in the Republic of Artsakh.
