Deputy Foreign Minister Avet Adonts Meets with Chinese Ambassador Fan Yun in Armenia
On December 17, Deputy Foreign Minister Avet Adonts met with Chinese Ambassador Fan Yun in Armenia. During the meeting, the parties discussed bilateral agenda items as well as issues related to the regional situation.
The Deputy Foreign Minister informed the ambassador about the situation in Artsakh arising from Turkish-Azerbaijani aggression and the actions to be undertaken to address it. They also addressed regional security and stability issues.
Adonts emphasized that deepening cooperation with China is a priority of Armenia's foreign policy, and the two sides effectively collaborate within international organizations. Armenia consistently supports China in the implementation of the 'One China' policy.
Ambassador Fan Yun noted that the traditional friendship between Armenia and China fosters the advancement of cooperation in all areas. The ambassador remarked that China is committed to the principle of mutual respect for state sovereignty and territorial integrity, and that China and Armenia consistently support each other on key issues.
The interlocutors exchanged ideas on enriching the bilateral agenda between Armenia and China and enhancing existing dialogue, as well as on steps to be taken for further joint efforts in trade, investment, and technical-economic fields.
