Moses Hakobyan Provided No Clear Information on Individual Holding the Relevant Recording, Says SCC

Recently, the news outlet "Pastinfo" reported that the former head of the RA Ministry of Defense's Military Control Service, Moses Hakobyan, confirmed in an interview that audio recordings regarding Nikol Pashinyan's order to suspend military replenishment had been provided to the investigating authority. According to "Pastinfo," as a result, the investigating authority found itself in a "hopeless situation." This information has been reported by the Special Investigation Service (SCC).

In this regard, it is essential to clarify that the information published on the news site does not correspond to reality. Furthermore, during Moses Hakobyan's questioning, with the intention of immediately seizing or otherwise acquiring the discussed recording if it existed, the investigative body requested it from him. However, Hakobyan not only failed to provide any clear information regarding the individual possessing such a recording but also essentially evaded giving direct answers to those questions. This has deprived the investigating authority of the opportunity to discover and seize the said recording at an earlier stage.

Therefore, to avoid disseminating inaccurate information and misleading the public, we recommend the aforementioned news outlet to seek clarifications from the investigating authority beforehand, as such a practice places the news outlet itself, rather than the investigative body, in a hopeless situation.
